Resumo

This article intends to analyze the current reform of the Professional Education in Brazil, based on the notion of competences through a documental research. It also intends to evidence the challenges that this reform will face, its purposes, the procedures that it will use to make it concrete, the competence’s conception and its relations to a Pedagogy of Competences, and its limitations in function of the use of individualistic and pragmatist approach.
