Ensino superior e vocação regional: uma análise referida ao norte fluminense
Keywords:

This text aims at discussing the federal government proposal to identify regional vocations in order to authorize the opening of new higher-education courses. It argues that the regional vocation concept is complex, difficult to apply, and even outdated, using as an example the Rio de Janeiro State Northern Region, which radically changed its internal characteristics and regional borders in a short time frame. The article concludes that the proposal for a university education policy based on the territorial aspect of the regional vocation concept is out of tune with our times.Downloads
